LOW this morning in Knoxville: 66°
** I expected Hurricane Sally to SLOW down, just as she did. She made landfall around 4:45 AM Wednesday morning near Gulf Shores, Alabama as a Category 2 storm with winds around 105 mph. Now she has weakened considerably. Thus, her ultimate track northeastward is on. The heaviest RAIN still favors Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina, as compared to here. The potential of 1 to 3" + of rain is still on the table for Western North Carolina and the tops of the Smokies. Conditions should turn drier in time for Friday.
I am expecting showers for Knoxville and Eastern parts of the Valley...and much LESS than that for the Plateau. Keep in the mind, the showers we receive today are directly related to the track of "Sally." **
So weather does not surprise you
Knoxville's normal LOW this time of year: 60°
Knoxville's normal HIGH this time of year: 82°
