The tornadoes and wind damage was something else in Mid TN! I hate to see the devastation with thoughts and prayers for those directly impacted.

Thanks for the blog updates David. I am barely in Knoxville's coverage area but have always followed the main news outlets, especially for weather as mine is similar here in the low elevations

Has it been wet enough lately? Well, it ended up being the third consecutive super soaking February in SE KY. Although, I failed to record a foot plus of rainfall for the third straight February, I still recorded over 10 inches and actually had a worse flood event at the beginning of the month with a 5.52 in storm event (most fell within 24 hours between Feb 5th and Feb 6th, 2020).

Here are my “Rainuary” states for February from 2018 through 2020; I live in Harlan, KY:

February 2018….12.24 in
February 2019….12.83 in
February 2020….10.53 in

NOTE: Black Mt Mesonet did record over a foot again, so at least part of Harlan CO high up did receive over a foot for three straight Februaries, WOW!
