my UPDATED SNOW MAP for Christmas Eve

Here's my SNOW map for Christmas Eve. RAIN to a brief mix possible to ALL SNOW. With COLD AIR arriving later in the day, SNOWFALL amounts should be higher to the EAST of Knox County (for example, Smokies & Tri-Cities) and lesser amounts WEST of Knox County (for example, Plateau).

Since Christmas Eve is an "Upside Down" day, due to the passage of a cold front, our high temperature today came early.

Our HIGH this morning in Knoxville:  61° @ 3:50 AM

Christmas Eve:
Rain to snow, 100% chance, some mixing may occur in-between, FALLING temperatures, most of the day in the 40s and 30s...wind chills in the teens by this afternoon.  The changeover in Knoxville should occur between 2 PM & 4 PM today.  See my latest SNOW Map above:  0.5 to 3" + is expected for the Knoxville and the Valley with LOCALLY HIGHER amounts.

Christmas Eve Night:
Snow showers and flurries, 60% chance, turning frigid, lows in the upper teens

Christmas Day:
Frigid, windy, gusts around 30 mph, flurries, 20% chance, mix of sun & clouds, single digit wind chills in the morning, highs in the upper 20s to near 30°

Friday night:
Mostly clear, frigid, lows around 15°

Saturday:
Mostly sunny, highs in the lower 40s

Saturday night:
Mostly clear, lows in the mid 20s

Sunday:
Mostly sunny, highs in the lower 50s

Sunday night:
Increasing clouds, lows in the mid 30s

Monday:
Partly sunny, spotty rain, 20% chance, highs in the upper 40s
